I found the way they added meaning and significance to their mundane choices to be kinda corny, and the whole wrap-up session was also a bit in-your-face with the sentimentality and life lessons and stuff. And I appreciate the attempt on the girl's part to live as normally as possible while dying, though I'm not sure if I care for the bucket list mentality of "living life to the fullest" or the idea that living in depression is somehow less "normal" than living happily. I like the general flow and atmosphere of the manga. Though since the story is told from the guy's perspective, it's more focused on fem learning to come out of feir shell of self-isolation and appreciate interacting with people. They both want to learn to be more like the other person. In contrast, the girl is very cheery, and the guy likes the way that fe is able to connect with others. The guy is very gloomy, though the girl likes the way that fe is self-defiined and doesn't need to be validated by others.
It really gives a sense of how within feir own head fe is, plus it's just kinda neat. I like the way they have the guy being referred to by descriptors in brackets instead of by feir name.
