The club that you manage as Luis (Maisonette) plays some of the worst ''dance'' music ever created. The only good characters are the ones that return from IV or TLAD (like Brucie) You get dickheads for mission givers that you don't get to kill later on (with the exception of your annoying mom's loan shark). Almost every character in the episode is an annoying dickhead without any redeeming qualities, Luis has no proper people to hang out/talk with. Oversaturated visuals, pink health, menus, pink morning sky & water, etc. TBOGT is unbearable to play for various reasons: I enjoy them both for very different reasons, and can't chose because they satisfy different gaming cravings. The missions are huge - the one where Luis parachutes into the 30 Rock equivalent, kills the producer, and has to land on a truck? Brilliant (forget the name though). TBoGT lifts the heavy heart of the GTA IV narrative into more familiar, lighter territory and is the closest to GTA V in this regard (though IV has absolutely more depth than V in terms of narrative and world, unless you think that more style is the same as more substance). And in their pursuit of freedom, they are used and abused the system, which demands their compliance. Libertarian-like 1% outlaws are not only shown to be untrustworthy sociopaths and hypocrites, without structure and rules their world falls apart which is why so few of Johnny's friends stay loyal. TLAD continues GTA IV's cynical view of the American dream by attacking the false notion of American freedom and liberty.
